Therefore, we have an in-house Innovation department dedicated to researching and testing the latest technologies to make sure that our sites and parks are up to date and help advance the industry.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nWe also have a test facility in collaboration with the Technical University of Denmark (DTU), located approx. 1 hour from Copenhagen. Here, the latest technologies within solar power are tested and developed, such as tracker systems, bifacial modules, and more. In collaboration with Aarhus University, Copenhagen University, and Slagelse municipality, and funded by Innovation Fund Denmark, we examine how the crops are affected by the shade of the solar panels, and how the biodiversity is impacted in the areas that are inaccessible to agricultural machinery. At Flakkebjerg, we have also developed a novel hydrauclic system solution, making it possible to raise the panels to their utilisation height, while safely and efficiently installing them closer to the ground. We are working on establishing the right balance between the different technologies in our project portfolio considering: the role of energy storage systems, acceptable curtailment, grid connection cost, etc.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nAncillary services help stabilise the grid in times of over- or under-production and -demand. Now, we are launching the solution to scale up green methanol production, making it price competitive and attractive as an alternative fuel for e.g. the shipping industry.
