At the time, there was greater opportunities for growth in Germany\u2019s renewables sector \u2013 and so, we partnered with a Germany-based company to construct 4 of the project\u2019s 10 required onshore wind turbines.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"c-text\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong>Cost efficiency and accelerated development<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"c-text\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">For the past two decades, wind power has been a widely sought-after technology for renewable developers \u2013 especially in European countries. The cost of onshore wind matches traditional sources in some areas of Europe in the mid-2000s. Prices have only continued to fall in recent years, driving down levelized costs while development rates have increased in parallel.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<section id=\"banner-block_8f89172e0eaeccf2020bb54013de8691\" class=\"c-banner c-banner--image-right bg-green-lighter c-banner--mb0 c-banner--pt c-banner--pb\">\n\n    <div class=\"c-banner__text\">\n        <p class=\"c-banner__label  color-red\">Screening &amp; Development<\/p>\n        <h2 class=\"c-banner__headline\">Securing the land and project rights <\/h2>\n                    <p>We secure all necessary land\/project rights via our own greenfield activities or through development agreements with local partners. <br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nThe project\u2019s key value drivers and risk profile are assessed, and project progress only occurs if it displays sufficient potential to surpass financial hurdle rates.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nIn this phase, we apply for all necessary permits to realize the project, which includes the conduct of a number of studies and analyses. We also ensure that we obtain a grid agreement that permits us to feed electricity into the grid. By replacing older turbines with modern, efficient models, repowering significantly increases energy output, making wind power more effective and reliable. Roads and grid connections from older turbines are reused, saving time and resources while minimising environmental impact.<br \/>\r\n<br \/>\r\nModern wind turbines are quieter and more powerful. While turbines in the 1980s powered just 10 households, today\u2019s models can supply up to 3,000 homes.
